Answers to your frequently asked questions
Q: I work a 9-5 job. Can we meet after work?
A: Of course! I work evenings and weekends by appointment. Get in touch with me to let me know what works for your schedule, and we’ll find a time that works.
Q: I’m totally clueless about buying a house. Can you explain how the process works?
A: Yes! Click here for a brief Home Buying 101.
Q: We’re not sure if we want to sell or not. Can you help us decide?
A: But of course! Get in touch with me to schedule some time to walk through your house together. We’ll talk about what you would need to do to get ready, and I’ll give you my opinion on a reasonable sales price. Armed with all that information, you’ll be ready to make a solid decision that’s right for you.
Q: I want to buy a vineyard property/commercial building/floating home. Can you help me?
A: I’m going to defer to the experts on this one. These kinds of properties have very specific concerns that I’m not as familiar with, but I have colleagues who live and breathe these things. Get in touch with me and I’ll set you up with someone fabulous.
Q: I’m looking for a place to rent. Can you help?
A: In Portland, rentals and apartments are handled without the involvement of Realtors, and there’s no central listing place the way there is with properties for sale. That being said, I know rentals are hard to come by, so I try to lend a matchmaking hand whenever possible. Shoot me an email with the basics (price range, area, size, pets) and I’ll keep my eye out for you.
Q: What the heck is Word on the Street?
A: Word on the Street is my monthly dispatch (aka newsletter), covering Portland real estate market activity, sales statistics, and real estate eye candy. It’s short, to the point, and pretty awesome. You can sign up for it here.
Word on the Street has a Facebook page for all the stuff that doesn’t fit in the newsletter like local Portland events, national real estate market news, home-keeping tips, and interior design ideas.
